 If you buy a celebrity fragrance for the celebrity and not the jus, then it must be because you want to purchase a piece of them. Madonna herself was inspired by the charisma of her own mother seen through her child's eyes and the memory of her fragrance to create her upcoming perfume, Truth or Dare. Although she doesn't say what compositions her mother wore, she picks out the notes as being those two great American pop icons, gardenia and tuberose,
“She always smelled like gardenias and tuberose, an intoxicating mixture [that was] feminine and mysterious. I wanted to re-create this scent, but with something fresh and new about it as well. Something honest and yet daring — hence the name Truth or Dare.”....

 Husband and wife Tim McGraw and Faith Hill have teamed up this time not just to tour together but to launch a new duo of fragrances around Valentine's Day 2012 to symbolize their matrimonial union and soulmate relationship.
The country stars had mentioned in the past wanting to do a collaborative scent project, maybe an unisex potion representing both of them. After testing the waters in the spring of 2011, it seems, with a commercial event which involved sets of their fragrances being sold next to each other with their own DVDS, they are now set to release Soul 2 Soul Faith Hill and Soul 2 Soul Tim McGraw. The country stars explained the name as being a code word for any joint projects they have undertaken since the initial Soul 2 Soul tour....

 Karleidoscope is the brain-child of Karl Lagerfeld whose composition was entrusted to perfumer Christophe Raynaud of Givaudan who has already created fragrances in the, let's face it, celebrity genre with Céline Dion, Antonio Banderas and Halle Berry. Karl Lagerfeld has slowly but surely evolved in the public's consciousness from fashion designer status to a celebrity one and is on his way to becoming a pop icon. Karleidoscope is an ode to the Kaiser's many facets although he is pretending that it is dedicated to his idea of a woman. Hence, the powdery violet idea. But the perfume is not what you would expect a classic powdery violet scent to smell like.The designer said that violet was elected because,

 Céline Dion has launched a new perfume called Signature which was developed with Coty Beauty. The classical yet modern jus was composed by perfumer Ilias Ermenidis of Firmenich. The idea behind the scent was to express the bond that exists between the singer and her audience.

 Phoenix is the debut fragrance by Keith Urban. The Long Hot Summer singer told USA Today that one of his sources of inspiration was his father, a drummer in New Zealand, about whom he said, "He was quite an aesthete. He always smelled good and had good clothes. He had an appreciation for the senses."
Apparently it's a family tradition because fans casually gush about how good the singer smells backstage, even going as far as locking the shirts he touched and imprinted with his scent in Ziplock bags. Amazingly, people don't say they want to listen to his music again, no, they want to smell him again...

 After revealing the print advert for the debut perfume by Taylor Swift, Wonderstruck, the campaign MCs have now allowed us to take a peek at the teaser trailer for the film about the fragrance.
