Nine d'Urso to be Face of Debut Bottega Veneta Perfume {Fragrance News} {Celebrity Perfume}

The 17-year old adolescent has recently been showcased in the book of advice her mother authored (with Sophie Gachet) last fall 2010 called La Parisienne which is to come out in English soon as The Parisian Guide to Chic.

I remember reading an interview of Nine d'Urso's mom explaining that her daughter does not particularly like to play top model (she refused to do an Elle cover) and is much more passionate about her classical studies...

Mother Monster Wants to Feed her Little Monsters Blood & Semen...So What? {Fragrance News} {Celebrity Perfume}

Lady Gaga has reportedly requested that two avowedly provocative olfactory notes be added to her upcoming perfume with Coty. There shall be blood and semen.

This is a far cry from her personally advertised taste in fragrance as the lady Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta in her former private life, she who seemed to prefer subtle, non-obtrusive scents. But true to her reputation as the Lady Gaga and her stage beast persona, there had to be some Gaga-esque notes worth their salt in her jus which is tentatively, possibly, dubbed Monster...

Guerlain Homme Pininfarina Collector (2011) {New Flacon - Limited Edition} {Men's Cologne}

Guerlain are launching a special collector edition of their Homme Eau de Parfum Intense in collaboration with Italian design studio Pininfarina, which created the original flacon for Guerlain Homme launched in 2008. The Guerlain Homme Intense version followed in 2009.

While the initial choice was to offer an opaque anthracite flacon with a metallic effect, the limited edition Pininfarina Collector uses transparent glass colored red on which the logo of the luxury Italian designer takes center stage...

Galimard Create Their Own National Parfum for Lithuania {Fragrance News}

Back in 2006 in the early days of perfume blogging and the year the fragrance blogosphere took off, when I wrote the utopian post My National Parfum about the idea of a country which would use perfume to construct its own identity, it was just a day-dream, a projection into the future, a mere conceptual vaccuum in the continuum of reality that might, potentially, get filled.

4 1/2 years later, it's become not only an experiment but a genre, apparently. After Korea and its Great Korea Fragrance, England and its pean to the joys of touring the nation with the scents of By George! it is now the republic of Lithuania which has embarked on a textbook case of national identity construction project based on and symbolised by perfume...

Top Fragrance Sales in 2010 {Perfume News}

NPD), it seems that figures are looking more optimistic as of December 2010, the month which traditionally makes or breaks annual sales. New by Chanel: No.19's Flanker (2010), No.5 Dons Smart Garbs {Fragrance News} {New Perfume}

Rather discreetly one must say, yet there it is, Chanel have launched a new flanker to the classic No. 19 created originally by perfumer Henri Robert in 1970-1971, a year before or so Gabrielle Chanel (1883-1971) chose to pass away. This year in 2010, officially a new eau de parfum concentration has been put together. But it is more than a put-together as the brand specifies to their French customers (but not their American ones), that it goes beyond a mere, higher concentration of essences that were bottled this time...
