 DKNY have now launched their new PureDKNY Verbena announced earlier on in June 2011. Like for the first PureDKNY based on Vanilla, the scent wants to be more than just another pretty perfume. Born in the aftermath of a recession, it upheld reassuring core values in troubled times. From that "Depression" perfume comes a new spiritual heiress which aims to capture a whole motivaitonal spirit, a movement of going back to what matters.

 Perfumer's Workshop have launched the first fragrance in a collection of four men's scents entitled Premier from the collection Zipped Man. Three more are upcoming and already christened Soho Noir, Rebel, Apollo. Perfumer's Workshop are well-known for their famous Tea Rose, a favorite of éditeur de parfums Frédéric Malle and their Samba series.

 Fashion designer Oscar de la Renta will launch a new women's fragrance called Live in Love towards Labor Day. The inspirational message comes from a tattoo worn by the brand's own Raffaele Llardo, the head of the de La Renta couture workshops. It struck the couturier, who was diagnosed with cancer not long ago, as exactly what he had in mind for his new creation.
According to WWD, the scent is a return to the roots of insider work at the fashion house. It is also a return to the glamor and stylishness of haute couture from the 1950s, 1960s as expressed in particular by the advert by David Downton which bucks the trend of photographic and celebrity advertising.  Country pop singer Taylor Swift will release her debut perfume in October 2011. It's named Wonderstruck after the lyrics of her song Enchanted from the album Speak Now. Acqua di Parma is launching a new perfume this month in the Le Nobili collection called Gelsomino Nobile (Noble Jasmine.) The scent centers on a species of Italian jasmine which is local to Calabria and which offers green and fresh facets making it light and airy. The composition is signed by perfumer Michel Almairac who worked under the direction of LVMH head fragrance director François Demachy.
