Courvoisier L'Edition Impériale {New Men's Perfume}

The famous Cognac brand Courvoisier is following the examples of other alcohol brands who have created liquor-inspired perfumes based on their own specialties, like Frapin 1270, Infusion, Botrytis or Le Boisé. It will introduce a fragrance called Courvoisier L'Edition Impériale in the spring of 2007, which was created by perfumer Alexis Dadier. The fragrance will be marketed as a men's cologne and will aim the 25 to 35 age group...

Elixir de Selenia by Arthur et les Minimoys {New Children's Perfume}

Koto Paris a specialist of children's fragrances introduced Elixir de Selenia on 20th of September 2006. It is aimed at girls aged 6 to 12 and includes notes of frosted mandarin, grenadine, and gooseberry. The perfume is inspired by the Luc Besson's fantasy series and upcoming movie Arthur et les Minimoys. It comes in a gift set together with a Mül-Mül bag.

The set retails for 36 Euros.

New Perfumes: Neroli Jasmin, Cotton, Sequin Sparkle, & Cozy Cashmere by The Body Shop

The Body Shop has issued four new perfumes: Neroli Jasmin, Cotton, Sequin Sparkle, and Cozy Cashmere.

After testing them I can tell you in particular that Cozy Cashmere is in fact a not-so-subtle copy of Angel by Thierry Mugler. A lot of [........] (you can fill in) fruity-floral notes for the others.

Neroli Jasmin retails for $20. The perfume oils retail for $14.

New Perfumes: Seductive Perfume Mist Japanese Cherry Blossom, Sensual Amber, & Warm Vanilla Sugar by Bath & Body Works

Bath & Body Works will introduce three new perfumes this fall called Seductive Perfume Mist Japanese Cherry Blossom, Sensual Amber, and Warm Vanilla Sugar in their Signature Collection. The perfumes will be available by the 10th of November 2006.

Japanese Cherry Blossom is described as "An intensely feminine interpretation of the fragrance you love, uniquely nuanced in a Perfume form. To create this strikingly original scent, our master perfumers have carefully blended intoxicating blossoms from an exotic Japanese garden with hints of Asian Pear, luscious Fuji Apple, and seductive silk musk.

Top notes: Asian Pear, Fuji Apple, Luscious Ume Plum

Mid notes: Japanese Cherry Blossom, Golden Butterfly Lily, Kyoto Rose Petals, Delicate Mimosa, Hedione

Base notes: Vanilla Rice, Imperial Amber, Silk Musk, Cinnamon Incense, Himalayan Cedarwood, Creamy Sandalwood...

New Perfume: Alma by Rosario Flores

Alma is an upcoming celebrity fragrance by Spanish pop singer and actress Rosario Flores. The perfume will launch only in Spain and Latin America. Rosario Flores is the third daughter of the late and legendary flamenco dancer, singer, and actress Lola Flores. Alma will be available in Eau de Toilette concentration. New Perfume: Fleur de Cabotine by Grès

Parfums Grès is preparing to introduce a flanker to Cabotine called Fleur de Cabotine. It will be available from spring 2007. The perfume was composed by Jean Claude Delville and Jean-Pierre Béthouart of Firmenich and the flacon and outer packaging designed by Fabrice Legros.

The fragrance is described as  "...a refreshing, feminine floral. The top notes include syringa flower and mandarin; the heart lily, orchid, peony and cactus blossom. The base is a blend of nectarine, heliotrope and musk".

Fleur de Cabotine will be available as a 50ml and 100ml edt spray.

New Perfume: Ambre de Cabochard by Grès

Grès will launch a new women's fragrance called Ambre de Cabochard, inspired by the famous chypre fragrance Cabochard which was introduced in 1959. Ambre de Cabochard is the first Oriental perfume created by Parfums Grès. It is described as a sophisticated fragrance combining tradition and modernity. The scent was created by Jean Claude Delville and Jean-Pierre Béthouart of Firmenich and the packaging by Fabrice Legros.

Top notes are berries, fruits, and spices. Heart is composed of amber. Base notes are Tonka, vanilla, and musk. 

Ambre de Cabochard will be available from spring 2007, as a 50ml and 100ml edt spray.

New Perfume: Nuit d'Amour by Guerlain

Nuit d'Amour is the latest creation by Jean Paul Guerlain. The perfume was inspired by the nose's fascination for a painting by Gustav Klimt called "Woman With Hat and Feather Boa". New Perfumes: Kinmokusei by Ayala Moriel Parfums

Canadian natural perfumer Ayala Sender, owner of, and nose for Ayala Moriel Parfums, is launching a new fragrance this fall called Kinmokusei to celebrate the season of the osmanthus harvest. The name of the perfume designates the osmanthus flower in Japanese.

New (Bedding) Perfume: Eau de Lit by Guerlain

The house of Guerlain is bringing back into fashion a refined means to help us go to sleep and invite sweet scented dreams. The newly released Eau de Lit ("Lit" means "bed" in French) by Guerlain rekindles the tradition of scenting non-bodily surfaces such as handkerchiefs, clothes, and pillows. Eau de Lit is meant to be sprayed onto the bedding. Its aroma is described as being reminscent of that of our grand-mothers' antique cupboards.

The scent includes notes of bergamot, neroli, and star anise. The lovely opaque bottle will allow you to keep it on your night stand by the lamp without any problem.

Eau de Lit retails for 50 Euros for a 125 ml flacon.

New Perfume & Perfume Short: Danielle by Danielle Steel

The first perfume by best-selling author, Danielle by Danielle Steel has now hit the perfume counters. It is described as a lush floral oriental and is meant to convey qualities embodied by the prolific writer and mother of nine children, that is, femininity and strength.

The juice, by Loc Dong of International Flavors and Fragrances, has top notes of lush green notes and Mediterranean mandarin; a heart of butterfly jasmine, sunset orchid and hydroponic rose, and a drydown of blue vetiver, white amber and cashmere musks.

The collection includes eaux de parfum in two sizes, 1.7 oz. for $49.50 and 3.3 oz. for $65, as well as a 0.5-oz. parfum, $125, and a 6.8-oz. body lotion for $35.

The eau de parfum bottles are faceted heavy glass rectangles, intended to be reminiscent of pieces in Steel’s large fine crystal collection. The juice inside is tinted a pale yellow. New Perfumes: Un Parfum D'Ailleurs et Fleurs, Un Parfum Des Sens et Bois, & Un Parfum de Charme et Feuilles by The Different Company

The Different Company has released a new trilogy of perfumes inspired by the visions of three different gardens. They are called Un Parfum D'Ailleurs et Fleurs (A Perfume of Elsewhere and Flowers), Un Parfum Des Sens et Bois (A Perfume of the Senses and Wood) Un Parfum de Charme et Feuilles (A Perfume of Charm and Leaves). They were composed by Céline Ellena who says that she "writes using aromas to further move into the abstract and the immaterial". New Perfume: Paprika Brasil by Hermès

The Hermessence collection of olfactory poems now includes a sixth opus by the in-house perfumer, Jean Claude Ellena. It was inspired by Brazil wood or ember wood and the work of French anthropologist Lévi-Strauss, Tristes Tropiques. It was conceived of as a unisex fragrance.

Top notes are pimento, clove, paprika. Heart notes are iris, green leaves. Base notes are reseda, ember wood, woody notes.

The perfume is exclusively sold in Hermès boutiques.
