 Lalique has issued its fourth men's fragrance called Encre Noire (Black Ink). It was created by Nathalie Lorson of Firmenich and comes after three previously launched prestige fragrances: Le Lion (1997), Le Faune (2000), and Equus (2001). The new perfume is described as having a marked woody character. It makes use of two different types of vetiver: Bourbon vetiver which is warm, rich, and offers leathery accents and Haitian vetiver which is mysterious, smoky, and almost dirt-like. Top notes are black truffle, ylang ylang, bergamot and blackcurrant. Heart notes are mysteriously said to be composed of "...dark, tempting Florals and rich Fruit Accords. Angel Schlesser is set to launch Essential for Men. The perfume was composed by Alberto Morillas and is described as a citrusy fruity-floral. The bottle is meant to evoke the line of men's clothes from the brand.
"Angel Schlesser Essential for Men launches in Spain this month, followed by Russia and Asia later this year, then remaining markets in 2007. The 50ml EdT spray is priced €48 and the 100ml EdT spray is €65". Source: Cosmetic News
René Shifferle's long-standing passion for perfumes has led the businessman hailing from Switzerland to finally pursue and concretize his dream of creating a series of perfumes he felt were lacking from the contemporary scene. The result is an unconventional series of three fragrances with dreamy poetic names created in collaboration with Isabelle Doyen, the nez for Parfums Annick Goutal.
Shifferle told us earlier that although he started with the idea that the perfumes would be the results of a classic collaboration betwen a customer and a perfumer, he quickly came to revise this view after a few months. The founder of Les Nez realized then that the most important person in the process was the creator, that is the perfumer. Shifferle adds that the concept of the perfumer as author developed by Frédéric Malle, who sees himself as a perfume publisher after the model of a book publisher, inspired him to go in that direction.
The Unicorn Spell is described as a green floral. In Isabelle Doyen's own words, "If by dawn still linger on your skin mixed scents of leaves, frost and violet blooms, and that relentless yearning for stellar sights, you will know that, at night, you felt the milky breath of a unicorn"...

 A new alcohol-free version of Lovely by Sarah Jessica Parker has been released. According to Osmoz, "Liquid Satin proposes a new way to experience perfume. An innovative, silicone-laced, alcohol-free formula enables a seductive satin-on-skin sensory feeling." It is recommended to apply the satiney concoction on the pulse points.
Top notes are mandarin, rosewood, lavender, Apple Martini. Heart notes are patchouli, narcissus, orchid. Base notes are cedar, white amber, musk. The perfume comes in two packagings: a serum spray in a vintage-like bottle and a serum rollerball in a golden pen decorated with gold filigree. It is a product exclusive to the US. Source: Osmoz

Alexander McQueen has introduced a vintage version of his perfume MyQueen. The limited edition fragrance was composed by Anne Flipo and Dominique Ropion and is called Enchanted Anniversary. The perfume showcases a Parma violet warmed up by sweet almond adding a light powdery touch to orange blossom, white musks, together with heliotrope. A sensual patchouli is combined with the raw and enveloping notes of cedar and vetiver. Orris from Florence and vanilla add their subtle carnal qualities to the jus in the base notes.  Yves Rocher has released Rose Absolue, the second creation to grace his collection of higher-end perfumes called Secrets D'Essences. The new fragrance is a rose-violet floral and was created by Christine Nagel. Nagel is also the composer of Narciso Rodriguez for Her together with Francis Kurkdjian. The perfume follows Voile D'Ambre, a light woody powdery oriental. It is described as having a "short structure, a precise script" and ingredients for which “money was no object.” According to Osmoz, "A cinnamon opening ensures a spicy allure. At the heart, waves of two rose absolutes, Turkish and Moroccan, treated by molecular distillation to isolate the roses’ fresh, dazzling scents. The voluptuous Moroccan rose absolute, ‘bursting with honeyed waxes’ is a creamy treat. Patchouli combined with “a good bit of tonka bean for mellow warmth”, ensures long-lastingness."  The duo of Italian designers Dolce & Gabbana has unveiled its latest women's fragrance, The One. It is described as an oriental floral and is said to be"... targeted at core Dolce & Gabbana women, who have a strong personality, are very sexy, with trend-setting status [...]. The Lobogal brand has released three new perfumes, Lobogal Pour Lui, Lobogal Pour Elle, and Lobogal Gold. The brand is relatively recent having been established in 2004 in Paris by the French company BGL-Beauté. The perfumes were created by noses Pierre Bourdon and Valérie Garnuch and the bottles were designed by Thierry Lecoule. Pierre Bourdon is the author among others of YSL Kouros (1981), Davidoff Cool Water (1988), Dior Dolce Vita (1995), Frédéric Malle Iris Poudre (2000), Escada Magnetism (2003), and Franchesco Smalto Fullchoke (2005). Pour Lui is said to be composed with an "...exotic bouquet of spices from the past, bringing to memory the flavor of the herbal liqueurs which the monks were producing for centuries behind the walls of their monasteries. The extract of whiskey and the way it is used in the olfactory composition adds a true revolutionary spirit, emphasizing both its classical and extravagant nature."  Serge Lutens has introduced his latest creation, Mandarine-Mandarin just on time to seduce us for fall and perfume our autumnal days with his dreams. The perfume is part of the Eaux Anciennes Collection and belongs to the exclusive line sold only at the Salons Shiseido at the Palais Royal in Paris. The Salons ship within Europe.
The scent opens on notes of Chinese Orange and nutmeg unfolding into a heart of candied mandarin, orange peel and Lapsong-Souchong (smoky tea) and develops on a base of rock rose, labdanum, Tonka bean, and ambergris. According to Osmoz, "The fragrance reveals an Oriental trail built around a ‘black mandarin’ note. Smoky tea, spice, candied fruit and amber tell the fragrant story of the emperor’s favorite. ‘She may not be the Mandarin’s spouse, [but] she reigns in supreme harmony over the Emperor’s very heart…" Or to make it even more interesting, "Sorbets and candied fruits, what complexity this dream without a letter-opener reveals!"
