Fashion label Chloé are poised to launch yet a new flanker to the 2008 original Chloé Eau de Parfum called L'Eau de Chloé, from February 2012. The departure from the matrix-perfume is greater this time as signalled by the green-colored jus. The composition by perfumer Michel Almairac of Robertet is noticeably fresher and vernal, evoking, "layers of chiffon in bright sunlight, bare feet brushing long grass" and "the glow of dawn on the skin"....

 By Kilian will launch their fourth Arabian Nights perfume in March of 2012 called Amber Oud. The composition is inspired by the Greek myth of the Heliades explaing the origins of resin amber.
Upon the death of their brother Phaedon, his sisters the Heliades were so bitterly struck by sadness that they shed endless tears and turned into black poplars. Their tears continued to stream down the branches of the trees, falling into the Eridan as amber drops of tears which women from the Latium then used to adorn themselves....

 Florentine master-perfumer Lorenzo Villoresi composed a new opus called Theseus. Like with other Villoresi's fragrances, the distant, mythological past beckons, anew. Alamut was about an ancient Persian castle and Iperborea retold the myth of the Hyperboreans.
The new perfume is said to evoke travels through unknown territories during the Antiquity in search of legendary lands, the Golden Fleece, mysterious beasts, powerful and awesome. Descriptors used are "elegant, pleasant and timeless, deep, fascinating and velvety, enriched with rare, intense and precious scents forever known and found again at last"....

 The designer duo Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren better known as Viktor & Rolf will launch a new masculine fragrance more than four years after having introduced their first men's potion called Antidote. The new perfume is called Spicebomb in reference to their pillar feminine fragrance, Flowerbomb.
To create the new masculine pendant to it, they decided to codify perfumed manhood as being convincingly expressed by spices - nothing absolutely new here - except that an intense focus on spiciness might help further characterize what a masculine scent is all about. Perfumer Olivier Polge, who already created Flowerbomb, went back to the drawing board for Spicebomb....

 Giorgio Armani have launched a new exclusive fragrance in their Armani Privé collection called La Femme Bleue. In a bid to push the exclusivity envelope, it has been issued at only 1000 numbered copies worldwide, turning the new jus and its hazy blue bottle into a de facto collector item. The fragrance was composed by perfumer Serge Majoullier of Mane and art-directed by Véronique Gautier who is known for her collaborative work with perfumer Jean-Claude Ellena at Hermès. She moved in September 2010 from Hermès Parfums to Giorgio Armani Parfums at L'Oréal who would have been attracted by her participation in the success story of the Hermès perfumes....
