We believe perfume is not a frivolous endeavour. It has meaning, just like fashion, beauty and art. We have a synesthetic approach to fragrances, in particular we are a strongly visual blog.
Fragrance offers wellness and quality-of-life benefits shown by science. For instance, did you know that your skin can literally smell sandalwood, which helps repair itself?
Did you also know that wearing a rose perfume is like wearing beautifying makeup? It makes you be perceived as more beautiful.
But best of all perhaps, perfume helps you connect, think, remember, and express yourself in daily life. It's one of the most democratic art forms.

Below is our index to fragrance reviews. Please note that there are hundreds more, shalle we call them, snippet reviews throughout the site. They might be found in the column Perfume Lists; mentioned as comparative review notes to a main, in-depth perfume review, or in a new fragrance announcement - or still, found in the category Scented Thoughts.
You can look up a perfume by using our search box in the right hand corner of the blog, in case you don't see a fragrance featured in the index. The seach function retrieves 10 pages maximum each time, but you can always play dig deeper with key words.
For example: while there is no formal review of Mitsouko by Guerlain, it is reviewed in short form numerous times, as we followed the evolution of its formulation and "flankerization" over the years.
We think that a blog is a particularly apt medium for hot-off-the-wire news, trend tracking - even trend setting sometimes - but that it also needs some free-form and jazzy improvization for it to remain a blog - and not a classic press medium. This explains the organic aspect of the blog.
